The Premonstratensian Canonry in the New Empire is located in the Jihlava district and is administered by the parishes of the Roman Catholic parish of Dlouhá Brtnice, the parish church of St. Wenceslas, Roman Catholic Parish of the Old Kingdom,

According to tradition, the monastery in Nová Říše was founded in 1211 by Markvard of Hrádek and his wife Vojslava. They founded it for the nuns of St. Norbert - Premonstratensian. The spiritual administration was provided by priests and provosts from the mother monastery in Zábrdovice (now part of Brno). The first strong point in the history of the monastery is the year 1248, when the provost Heřman from Novoříšek is documented by documents.
The connecting corridor is the monastery connected with the church of St. Peter and Paul. The Premonstratensian Order also provides tours for the public, both the monastery and the Church of St. Peter and Paul.
