Sezemice Municipal Office
Sezemice is one of the oldest settlements in the Pardubice district. This is evidenced not only by their location near the Kunětická mountain and the confluence of the Elbe and Loučná – rivers,
along the banks of which ancient merchant routes led, as well as archaeological finds. First written mention
about Sezemice dates back to 1227.
In the years 1491 – 1559 Sezemice was owned by the Pernštejn family. At that time, they were referred to as a small town, they already had their own city coat of arms.
There was no city in the far and wide vicinity that was affected by fires like Sezemice. Therefore, very few monuments have been preserved in the city. The rarest of them is the Church of the Holy Trinity from the first half of the 13th century. century, which was one of the first brick buildings in the territory of our republic.
