Roudnice was inhabited (as evidenced by archaeological finds) as early as the Stone Age. The first written mention of Roudnice dates back to 1384, then as Rudnicz. The name of the village then underwent various changes - in 1401 Rudnicze and in 1436 the present name Roudnice appears.

Today's Roudnice is characterized by quality civic amenities and rich social and sports activities. In the center of the village is a municipal office, kindergarten, grocery store.

The Sokol physical education unit, a women's association, a volunteer fire brigade and a hunting association are active in the village. Associations organize a whole range of interesting events (eg carnival swarms, hunting shootings, fire races).
