The village of Šárovcova Lhota is located southwest of the town of Lázně Bělohrad and about 7 km northwest of Hořice in Podkrkonoší. The local parts of the village are Tikov, Bertoldka, Libín and Radov.

Numerous excavations testify that people lived here already in pagan times. It was founded around 1197-1230 during the reign of King Přemysl Otakar I. The first mention of the Tikov settlement dates from 1518, already as a deserted village. It was probably destroyed during the time of the Hussites. There have been mentions of Libín since 1628, when kolomaz was burned here for the Hořická estate.

Šárovcova Lhota tries to offer its residents a high level of civic amenities - the village is proud of the newly opened municipal pub. In 1996, the municipal water supply was completed, which is fed from springs in the forests above the village. Near the village, you can't overlook the very nicely reconstructed building of the railway station on the Chlumec nad Cidlinou - Stará Paka line, which was designated by Czech Railways employees as the most beautiful station on this line. There is also a branch of the Czech Post Office and a general store in the village. Residents can play sports on the tennis courts, on the multi-purpose grass football field and in the swimming pool with a children's wading pool.

In the village of Šárovcova Lhota, we can find the following interesting locations: Castle, brickyard, Georgův hostinec and the statue of Alois Jirásk.
