The village of Rokytňany is located in the district of Jičín in the Hradec Králové Region.
It is located at an altitude of 248 m above sea level and covers an area of 496 hectares.
The first written mention of the village dates from 1381. At present, Rokytňany has 124 inhabitants.
The Kopanina hill rises to the north (374 m above sea level), the Rokytňanský pond is to the west and the Hasinský stream flows south of the village.
In the village there is also the Chapel of the Holy Trinity and the Monument to the Victims of the 1st and 2nd St. of war.
