The Municipal Cultural Center Sobotka organizes cultural and social events in the city. It deals with the promotion of the city and publishing promotional materials, providing information, organizing the Šrámkova Sobotka festival, publishing the Šrámkova Sobotka Newsletter and managing the city's website.
The Municipal Cultural Center Sobotka (MKS Sobotka) is a contributory organization of the city and has legal personality.
The organization was founded in 1998 under the name of the Sobotka Urban Culture Center. The reason for its creation was the need to create an organization that would be responsible for the cultural concept of the city and free the hands of the city library, or a librarian who organized many cultural events in the city until the aforementioned year 1998.
On 1 January 2009, the Sobotka Municipal Culture Center (SMKS) was renamed the Sobotka Municipal Cultural Center (MKS Sobotka).
MKS Sobotka includes:
- Municipal Information Center (MIC)
- Fráni Šrámka Municipal Library (MěK FŠ)
- Fráni Šrámek Museum and Archive (MAFŠ)
- Studio Šrámkova dom (SŠD)
- City theatre.
