The village of Růžová is located 10 km from the town of Děčín, on the border of the Czech Switzerland National Park, in the central part of the Růžovská Highlands. The village consists of the settlements Nový Svět, Kamenická Stráň with Dolský mlýn and Růžová. The dominant feature of the village is the baroque church of St. Peter and Paul.

Růžová is a popular place to live and also has a lot to offer visitors. In Růžová, there are more than 300 accommodation places for tourists in nice guesthouses and cottages. In the center of the village you will find a children's playground, a large field for football, tennis, volleyball, netball, streetball, and also bowling.

The village of Růžová is an ideal starting point for hiking, especially for climbing the highest peak in the area, Růžovský vrch (619 m above sea level). Directly from Růžová, you can also take a walking trip to the most famous place of the NP České Švýcarsko, Pravčická brána.

The village of Kamenická Stráň is part of the Růžová municipality. Here is a set of heritage-protected folk buildings, so-called stilt houses. From Kamenická Stráná, the road leads to the Dolské mill, known from the fairy tale The Proud Princess.
