The town of Chribska is located in the Lusatian Mountains on the edge of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park in the Usti Region. Chřibská is a city with a rich history, which is formed by important and tragic events. A great decline in development occurred after the expulsion of the German population in 1945 and 1946, abandoned houses deteriorated and many of the valuable buildings were demolished. The situation improved only after 1989.
Chřibská also has a number of important natives, including the composer Malachias Siebenhaar, the founder of glass accordions production Ferdinand Pohl and naturalist Tadeáš Haenke.
The city consists of four parts: Lower Chribska, Chribska, Horni Chribska and Beautiful Pole. Currently there live about 1400 inhabitants.
