Obec Prostibor

c. 37, Prostibor 349 01
The village of Prostiboř is located in the district of Tachov in the Pilsen Region. The territorial parts of the village are Prostiboř, Telice and Kopec. The first written mention of our village comes from the so-called founding document of the Kladruby monastery from the first half of the 11th century.
In our village you will find several sights. Above the village of Kopec near Prostibor are the ruins of a Gothic castle rebuilt into the Prostiboř chateau, also called Kopec. The chateau stands on a watchtower above the river Úhlavka at an altitude of about 430 m and since 1958 it has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.
The local cultural association organizes a number of social events in our village, such as a children's day, the burning of witches or a masquerade ball.
