The village of Libá is located in the district of Cheb in the picturesque valley of the Libské stream at the edge of the border forest.

A castle built in the 13th century stood on the site of today's chateau in Libá. The first report about the castle dates from 1264, when it mentions the Cheb regent Ruprecht from Nové Libštejn (Libé) and his brother.

The surroundings of the village have ideal conditions for cycling. In the winter, the mentioned cycle routes are used as cross-country ski tracks.
Here you will also find the Libsko cycle path, it is an educational path for all age categories, the tracks have been adapted both for families with children and for more sporty individuals. The trail is equipped with information boards to bring closer the natural and historical monuments in the vicinity of Libé.
