The town of Dačice is located in the South Bohemian Region, Jindřichův Hradec District and forms a natural center of the furthest tip of southwest Moravia. The first mention of Dačice can be found in 1183 and thus ranks among the oldest towns of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. Dacice is also the place where the first time the world made a cube of sugar, which also has its monument.
