CHÂTEAU VALTICE - Wine cellars Valtice, a. S. Is one of the most important traditional wine producers and is the largest grower of vines in the Czech Republic. The history of this winery has its roots in the early 15th century. Even then, the Liechtensteins recognized that there were excellent conditions for growing vines in South Moravia, and following the example of the French wine dominion of the "Château" type, they founded a winery which, with its character, focus and size, became a unique wine complex of European format. More than half a century before Christopher Columbus discovered America or before Leonardo da Vinci met Mona Lisa in Florence, the Castle Cellar of A.D. 1430 with a capacity of almost 700 thousand liters. In 1640, the Great Cross Cellar A.D. 1640 with a capacity of over one million liters of wine.
As in the past, today both cellars are used for maturing and maturing the best wines indicating the highest quality of Valtice wines - CHÂTEAU VALTICE.
