Nové Hrady Chateau is located in Eastern Bohemia, near the towns of Vysoké Mýto and Litomyšl. It is a unique Rococo building from 1777, designed and built by the original owner of the estate, Count Jean-Antoine Harbuval de Chamaré. The whole area of the romantic chateau is undergoing extensive reconstruction.
The castle houses a permanent exhibition of historic furniture called The Art of Furniture in the Changes of the Centuries. In the castle grounds you can also visit the Motorcycle Museum or the Gallery of English Hats.
The castle is surrounded by extensive grounds, which form various types of gardens. In the courtyard of the castle you will find a well-kept French garden with a fountain, it is also worth mentioning the green theater, the only one of its kind in the Czech Republic or a water lily pond.
A self-service fast food establishment and a café are available to visitors.
The Nové Hrady Chateau complex offers:

Lock opening hours:
- high season May to September: daily 9 am - 5 pm
- April, October: on weekends and public holidays from 10 am to 7 pm.
