The village of Lošany is located in the Central Bohemian Region, about seven kilometers from the town of Kolín. The village consists of two parts, Lošany and Lošánky. The first written mention dates back to 1259. The dominant feature of the village is the neo-Gothic church of St. George and the Gothic tower fortress (privately owned). In 1757, the battle of Kolín took place near the village. Lošany is also the birthplace of Major General Josef Mašín, who was a member of the anti-Nazi group Three Kings, you will also find a memorial to this hero.
