The village of Račín is located in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou in the Vysočina region and is situated at an altitude of 648 m above sea level.
Račín is located in the southwest of Žďárské vrchy. Kamenný vrch rises east of it. Velké Dářko and Nový rybník are located in the northeast. There are Jordán and Pijáček ponds right in the village.
The first written mention of the village dates from 1654. At present, Račín has 133 inhabitants.
The village is equipped with municipal water supply and sewerage. There is also a multipurpose playground and a pub.
Many social and cultural events take place here throughout the year.
