The village of Rohozná is located on the border of Bohemia and Moravia at an average altitude of 575 m. The Rohozenský stream flows through it and the road from Svojanov towards Polička, which is about 15 km away, or to Svitavy (about 17 km) passes through it. Part of Rohozná is the settlement of Manova Lhota, 2 km away, located above the valley of the Křetínka river.
The village is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of the foothills of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands with a large number of forests, which are a paradise for mushroom and blueberry growers. The Na Drahách hill (647 m.a.s.l.) offers a panoramic view of the wide surroundings - from the peaks of the Orlické mountains in the north, through Kralický Sněžník and Praděd in Jeseníce in the northeast, to Kojál in the Drahanská vrchovina in the southeast direction and the hills above the town of Bystré in the southwest.
Protected plants grow on the cadastre of the village, such as the three-leaf clover and some types of orchids (orchids).
Rohozná currently has 640 permanent residents.
Basic amenities include a kindergarten, district and pediatrician's office, post office, two shops, restaurants, cultural center, library and children's playground. There is no primary school in our village, children commute to school in the nearby village of Pomezí. Bus routes are adapted to classes.
Voluntary organizations operate in our village:
- a sports club whose activities are mainly focused on the preparation of football players and playing football competitions. Sports and other events take place at the ever-improved SK Stadium
- Voluntary Firefighter Unit
- hunting association
In addition to their main activity, these organizations enrich life in the village by organizing various cultural events. Regular events include Children's Day or carnival, balls and dance parties, popular ones are the "burning of the witches" on the last evening of April, singing together, lighting the Christmas tree, etc.
