The village of Újezd is located 4 km west of the town of Domažlice. The municipality of Újezd has two parts: Újezd and Petrovice. The administrative district of the village also includes the Újezd – Pila cottage settlement with almost a hundred cottages. As of 1.1. In 2019, 344 inhabitants lived in Újezd and 88 inhabitants in Petrovice. The administrative district of the village consists of two cadastral territories, Újezd u Domažlice and Petrovice u Domažlice, with a total area of 1102 ha.

The J.S. Koziny Memorial Hall is located in Kozina's estate in Újezda No. 3, where you can see the history of the Chod rebellion, costumes and work tools and the way of life of the Chods. A monument to Jan Sladký Kozina has been standing above the village on Hrádek Hill since 1895.
The village of Újezd is an important tourist destination. Several hiking trails lead here. The dominant feature of the lower part of the village is the monument to the victims of the First and Second World Wars. In the park in front of the shop there is a Hussite monument commemorating the burning of the Czech brothers on November 6, 1503 in Bor u Tachova, who came from Újezd.
In Újezd there is a pub on Stříbrnec and a shop. It is possible to use the newly renovated premises of the Cultural House in Újezd to organize cultural and social events.
