The village of Březí u Říčan is located in the Central Bohemia region.
The first written mention of the village is in 1303. The village of Březí, according to its original name Bříza, already had a rectory with the church of St. Bartolomeje, which is located on the southeastern hill above the village. In 1992, a collection was organized between the citizens of the village and believers from the Netherlands, and the church tower was fitted with a bell. The holders of the municipality in the fourteenth century were mainly Prague burghers.

Currently, 619 inhabitants live here. The center of social and cultural events is the restaurant U rybníku, where local clubs and associations organize dance entertainment, meetings, etc.

A children's playground was built in 2008, which is fully used.

Cycle route No. 0020 runs through the village, which takes you to Říčany and further to cycle routes to Voděradské bučine, Velkopopovicko and Posázaví.
