IFER is a research organization that deals with forestry-oriented research projects.
The focus of our activities lies in forestry at all its levels - forest operation, forest management planning, forest reserve monitoring, forestry policy and much more. In the long run, we also address the issue of global warming and related carbon monitoring and emission inventories. A wealth of practical and theoretical experience has allowed us to develop a statistical inventory methodology that is used in multiple projects, as well as to develop Field-Map technology - technology for field data collection and office processing. Forest inventory could have different scope, different direction and especially different goals, as evidenced by the following overview of our company's activities During its existence, we have built a strong position in the international field and collaborated on projects in more than 40 countries on 5 continents. reliability, initiative, flexibility and invention in finding solutions for research projects, as well as technical and technological background and the ability to orientate oneself in a new and unknown environment. To this day, we work with almost all major forestry institutions in Europe (including FAO, EFI, the Joint Research Center and most forestry universities), as well as many of them in North and South America, Africa and Asia.
