Vražné is a village and municipality (obec) in Nový Jičín District in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. The municipality has 3 local parts Vražné, Hynčice and Emauzy and the territory consists of 2 cadastral areas Vražné near Oder and Hynčice near Vražného.
The vast majority of the village is made up of fields and meadows, which in the past were a source of livelihood for local residents.
In addition to agriculture, the inhabitants of the village were engaged in lime burning and cartage for a long time. The distribution of quicklime to the surrounding villages and towns gradually weakened with the development of the railway.
The history of the village dates from the 13th to 14 century, the first written mention of the village is from 1282.

In our village there is an important cultural monument of Johann Gregor Mendel's birthplace, an important founder of genetics and a discoverer of the basic laws of heredity. This relatively large peasant farmhouse has been completely reconstructed and today it can offer visitors, in addition to the museum exhibition, conference and meeting rooms.
