The registered association Zdravý Rožnov was created as an open association of people who were enthusiastic about the ideas contained in the international Healthy Cities project of the World Health Organization (WHO) and set themselves the goal of promoting these ideas in our city, with the aim of Rožnov's official accession to this project.
Since autumn 2004, Rožnov has been a member of the National Network of Healthy Cities as an associate member, mainly thanks to the activity of our association. On April 18, 2006, the city council approved the accession of Rožnov p. R. to the National Network of Healthy Cities as a full member.
According to the association's statutes, the main goals are to protect nature and the landscape, involve the public in participating in public events in the municipality and region, develop and implement the ideas contained in the Healthy Cities project announced by the World Health Organization WHO, and work with socially needy population groups.
