Rodný dům J.G. Mendela is located in the village Vražné, in the local part Hynčice. It is a country estate where the founder of genetics Johann Gregor Mendel lived. Since 1958, this building has been listed as a monument and after extensive reconstruction it has been opened to the public as a museum and visitor center of the Moravian Kravaře region. You can see an exhibition presenting the life and work of a famous naturalist and native.
