The village of Písek is located in the area of the easternmost extremity of the Moravian-Silesian Region.
The 1, 800 inhabitants of the village of Písek are not only Czechs, but also a significant ethnic minority of Poles.
The village has an area of 1545 hectares.
From the beginning, the history of the village is connected with the Principality of Těšín and the simultaneous cultural influence of the Czech and Polish, as well as the Hungarian historical state.
This triple Czech-Polish-Slovak cultural influence is decisive in the lives of the citizens of the village even today.
