Obec Horni DomaslaviceHorní Domaslavice Municipal Office. The village of Horní Domaslavice is located in the Beskydy tourist region, in the Podbeskydská pahorkatina, close to the recreational area of the Žermanická dam, about 10 km northeast of Frýdek-Místek. It is a small village covering an area of 505 hectares, with about 690 inhabitants. The most important monument and attraction is the Baroque church of St. Jakuba from the years 1739 to 1745 with its surroundings - the former center of the unified village of Domaslavice. Even today, it is also a parish church for the villages of Dolní Domaslavice, Soběšovice, Lučina and Dolní Tošanovice. The determination of the boundaries of the municipalities of Horní and Dolní Domaslavice in 1864, which pass between its individual buildings, especially between the parish and its former farm building - today the U Kostela restaurant - is also a remarkable legacy of the past. In April 1999, the church was declared a cultural monument. There was also the most important Swedish monument in this region - the Upper Moravian castle (from the end of the 18th century, it disappeared in the early 60s). In its vicinity, however, the oldest monument has been preserved to this day - the chapel of St. Anny (probably from 1654). Valuable folk Baroque monuments also include statues of St. Florian, the Virgin Mary and St. Jan Nepomucký. The original bed of the river Lučina - in front of the mouth of the dam - together with the legends of the "Sea Eye" lake is a remarkable natural attraction.PICTURESObec Horní Domaslavice
