Ungelt Theater - Stone Stage.
The Ungelt Chamber Theater was ceremoniously opened on October 2, 1995 by Mr. Miloš Kopecký, who also donated the first chair to the theater as a symbol of his favor. This started a tradition in which actors, artists and public figures donate theirs to the theater every year
a chair "with a story".
In the more than 20 years of Ungelt's existence, its actors have won the most prestigious Czech acting award four times: the Thalia Award. In addition to Alena Vránová, there are also Marta Kubišová, Vilma Cibulková and Richard Krajčo.
Ungelt cultivates "acting dramaturgy" - the repertoire is compiled with regard to the potential of great acting creations. It thus arises on the body of specific artistic individuals.
In addition, we mainly focus on texts that have not yet been presented with us, and whose translation is often created directly for our order.
The summer scene of the Ungelt Theater is located in the ancient, picturesque part of Hradčany pod Loretou in Nové Svět.
Ungelt plays outdoors from mid-May until mid-September. The Summer Scene program includes almost the entire repertoire of the stone scene. Exceptionally, however, there will also be a production that is "sewn" to the Summer Scene directly on the body.
