Vidče Municipal Office.
The name of the village Vidče was written in the oldest documents of Vitče, after the personal name Vítek. According to other sources it was written Vidče, because from the hills around the village is far to see. The locals, however, used to say Vič and Vič, so in the Solomon language omitted "dit".
Vidče was known since 1310 under Bohuslav of Krásno. It therefore belongs to the oldest settlements in the Rožnov area with the village of Zubří and the town of Rožnov. The owners were always Rožnov masters.
It was mostly an agricultural peasant village with limestone and iron ore mining in the 18th century.
The village has two cultural monuments. The first is a wooden belfry, dating from the 18th century, which houses a bell from 1775. It has been renovated several times, most recently in 2002. The second monument is the Church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius, who is a valuable example of neo-Gothic architecture. The church is a significant landmark of the village. It was built in 1908-1914 and was consecrated in 1920. Recently, the church and its surroundings were renovated while preserving its stylish interior.
Vidče is a modern Wallachian village with a primary school, kindergarten, sports complex with 2 football fields, a new modern gym, sauna and a well-equipped library. Cultural activities are provided by a modern cinema and cultural center, which also houses a municipal office. The village is a children's ethnographic group Valašenka, which was founded in 1953.
