Obec Bohuslavice.
When in 1901 the peasants of the village and the surrounding area loaded up a mountain dairy cooperative and built a cooperative dairy, they had no idea that its chimney would become a nesting place for storks after many years. The dairy served until September 21, 1970, when its operation was stopped after the construction of the large-capacity dairy company OLMA in Olomouc. The dairy chimney lost its meaning, but after a few years the first stork family settled on it.

The first mention of white storks in the village is listed in the local chronicle in 1979. The then chronicler Mr. Antonin Bušina states: "On 5 August 1979, a track fortified (around Lacin's solitude) flock of 18 storks and 2 herons. delayed several more days ". He was probably attracted by the ease of fishing at nearby ponds.

Already in the following year - 1980 - in the spring orphaned dairy chimney stork family began to build their nest. In the following years, everything regularly repeated. The storks arrived in the first 14 days of April, sometimes even at the end of March, always flying around the Bartholomew pilgrimage in the last week of August. A careful observer could always see the heads of young storks peek out of the nest in June, usually 1-3.

The exception in stork nesting was in 1992, when 2 stork arrived on the chimney on April 2, unfortunately, no more appeared. According to testimonies of some citizens were found at the ponds 2 storks shot. The nest on the dairy chimney remained orphaned the following year, but since 1994 storks on the chimney have been nesting until the present day.

A special event occurred in 1997. At first 1 stork arrived, about a week later joined another and they began to build a nest. After 14 days - 6th May - another pair of storks arrived and with the storks already nestled some sort of "fight" for the nest, flew to the nest and tried to expel the stork family. Of course, she defended and reflected the invaders. The struggle lasted all afternoon, eventually a new pair of storks flew away with no sign.

Stork breeding in the village was regularly reported to the Czech Ornithological Society until 1998, when the 18th national census of white stork nesting pairs took place in the Czech Republic. In that year (1998), out of 1, 174 physically existing nests, 885 nests were occupied. In June 1998, 209 pups died due to very unfavorable weather conditions, but 1786 were taken out. (See Cicinia Ciconia, published by the Czech Ornithological Society, Prague 1999).

Swans can be observed on local ponds. The first mention of the occurrence of swans is in the chronicle in 1989, then in 1991, a regular nesting since 1995.
