The former small town, the ancient village of Novosedly, is located in the district of Břeclav and extends in
flat valley floodplain on the right bank of the river Dyje, south of Drnholka. The foundation of the village was started
in the 12th century during the construction of the church. At the beginning of the 13th century, Novosedly belonged to the chapter of the temple in
Old Boleslav. In 1276, the Novosedly church was transferred to the monastery in Dolní Kounice.
Currently, Novosedly is one of the four largest wine-growing villages in the Czech Republic.
Areas of registered vineyards with an area of 455 ha are part of the largest complex of vineyards
in the republic, which in total with the acreage in Brod nad Dyjí, Dolní Dunajovice and Nové Přerov
it is almost 1000 ha and forms an almost continuous vineyard area. The number of inhabitants is 1156.
The sights of the village are the church of St. Oldřich, the chapel of Christ the Suffering,
The Passion of God and the Column with the statue of the Virgin Mary.

In the second half of September, we invite you to the Novosedel wine harvest.
This social and cultural celebration is connected with the Open Day
cellars and tasting wines and burčaks of Novi Sad winemakers.
A historical procession passes through the village and around the cellars
local citizens in period clothes and young people in costumes participate.
The procession is accompanied by music and a program in which it is local
winemakers granted the right of a wine bar.

After short stops associated with folk festivities, the procession returns to the town hall.
The fun continues with folk festivities at the town hall, dulcimer and brass music in local wineries.
