The village of Křešice is located in the district of Litoměřice in the Ústecký kraj and is located on the right bank of the Elbe river, at the mouth of the Blatenské stream.
The municipality of Křešice consists of five parts, the central municipality is Křešice, it is connected to the north by Zahořany, to the west by Třeboutice, to the south by Nučnice and the farthest part towards the northeast is Sedlec.
The first written mention of the village comes from the year 1057 from the foundation document of the Litoměřice chapter. Currently, Křešice has 1, 410 permanent residents.
The village has a primary and kindergarten school, a general practitioner's office for adults, a dental office, an inn, a post office and a library.
