The town of Bílina is located in the Ústí nad Labem Region in the eastern part of the Chomutov-Teplice Basin at an altitude of 207 m above sea level, about 90 km northwest of Prague. The town is located in the valley of the river Bílina, halfway between Most and Teplice. The population of the town is about 15, 000. It is surrounded by the Chlum hill, in the west the slopes of the Kaňkov hill stretch. To the south rises the mountain Bořeň, which looks like a reclining lion. The biggest attractions include the Baroque castle, the Gothic-Renaissance church of St. Peter and Paul, an Art Nouveau town hall built between 1908 and 1911 and a spa complex with an extensive park and a unique Forest Café. There are many sports grounds in the city and also the offer of sports activities is very diverse. There is a covered winter stadium in Bílina, which can accommodate 1, 000 spectators. There is a covered swimming hall in the quiet zone of Žižkov údolí, and a multi-purpose sports hall (the so-called Green Hall) is located near it. A popular mini golf course is available in the spa park. The spa area is connected to a swimming pool, which includes a 60m water slide, diving tower, beach volleyball court and playground. In the immediate vicinity of the swimming pool is a camp, which was largely renovated in 2017.
