The village of Čime is located in the district of Příbram in the Central Bohemia region, about fifteen kilometers east of the town of Dobříš. Meredský potok flows through it - a small left tributary of the Vltava river. At present, approximately 365 inhabitants live here.

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1318, and the name of the village (also known as Čim) is derived from the personal name Čám, meaning Čám's yard. A person of this name was supposed to be the founder of the first court in a place that was called Čám's court.
