The Secondary Vocational School of Veterinary, Mechanization and Horticulture and the Language School with the right to a state language examination, České Budějovice, Rudolfovská 92 provide secondary vocational education in the fields of Mechanization and Services, Plant Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Horticulture. The school also includes a language school with the right to a state language exam. Furthermore, they can complete a one-year post-secondary study at our school or they can attend interesting language courses.
The beginnings of our school date back to 1886. In that year, the Czech Peasant School was founded. In the first years of its existence, the school had to convince the peasants of the need for higher education. Despite the initial mistrust, she undoubtedly succeeded and gained a good reputation thanks to the successful work of her graduates. Its importance grew especially in the period of the First Republic, when it acquired the status of a secondary vocational school.
The school has 3 accommodation capacities - DM U Hvízdala, DM Rudolfov and its own Youth Home in the school complex, which is classified according to its equipment in the 2nd category. DM is part of a large school campus where children can spend their free time, even actively on sports fields. They can play football, tennis, beach volleyball. The capacity of DM in the school premises is 115 accommodation places - 64 places for girls and 51 places for boys.
