Obec Losina

Losina 11, Losina 332 04
The village of Losiná is located 11 km south of the city of Pilsen on the main road to České Budějovice. According to sources from the local chronicle, the name of the village is derived from zlosyns, or evil sons of Mr. Radouš na Radyna. Losiná probably has an older, early feudal origin, and at the same time it is one of the few municipalities about which accurate reports about the transfer to the new right of purchase have been preserved. The transfer itself was carried out in 1327 under Jaroslav of Štěnovic.

Several traditional farmhouses have been preserved in the village among numerous modern buildings. The entrance gates to the estates are very well preserved, arched and newer pillared ones. In the center stands a classicist chapel with a bell tower from the second half of the 19th century. Next to the chapel stands a memorial cross on a tall stone pillar.

On the side of the village by the road to Nebílovy stands a statue of St. Jan Nepomucký, on the plinth is the year 1740 and a combined coat of arms.

You can find the municipal office at Losiná 11, Plzeň-město district.
