Tetčice is located in the rural Brno district near the town of Rosice at an altitude of 300 to 340 m.a.s.l.
The main landmark is the highest point of the forested ridge of the Bobravská vrchovina, stretching from Moravské Krumlov to Kuři, once long ago named Bučín (444 m.a.s.l.). It probably got its name because its massif was overgrown with beech forest from a long time ago, and even today, its peak is decorated with a "crest" of nine massive ancient beech trees, visible from afar. The second dominant feature is the Bobrava River, which enters the valley in Tetčice, through which it crosses the Bobrava Highlands on its way to its mouth in Svratka, south of Brno. The surroundings of this valley are protected as the Bobrava Nature Park and directly encourage you to wander through extensive forests, deep valleys of streams feeding the Bobrava river, mushroom picking or watching game and birds.
