The village of Prace is located in the district of Brno-venkov in the South Moravian region in the Dyjsko-Svrateck valley, at the northern foot of the Prace hill with a monument to the Battle of Slavkov called the Mound of Peace. Currently, approx. 939 inhabitants.

The first written mention of the village dates back to 1274. In the years 1986–1990, Prace was part of Šlapany u Brno.

Landmarks of the village:
- church dedicated to the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. A written report about the stone church dates from 1274. During the siege of Brno by Swedish troops, it was half-demolished, the bells and valuables were taken away by the enemy. At the beginning of the 18th century, it was restored, practically rebuilt.
- Mound of peace.

In the village there is the Prace Primary and Kindergarten.

TJ Sokol operates in the village - the football team, which has won a number of important sporting successes over the past period. The basis of the sports complex is a football field with high-quality operational and social facilities. There are plenty of other areas for sports and cultural activities in the area.

Marked tourist routes and cycle paths pass through the village.
