Municipality, municipal office.

Kovářská is located in the valley of the Černý potok, also called Černá voda, at an altitude of around eight hundred meters. It owes its origin to the mining and processing of iron ore.

Already in the fourteenth century, there were hammers belonging to the Šumburks in its immediate vicinity. Sources mention five of them directly in today's territory of the village.

The Czech name Kovářská was translated from the German Schmiedeberg, formed after a large hammer with accessories that stood there.

Until the nineteenth century, the processing of iron ore was almost the only source of livelihood for local residents. In 1595, the Lobkovics built a furnace in Kovařské, known as a high furnace. But it was just a so-called pipe. Four years later, however, a real blast furnace was built here, one of the first in Bohemia.
