Otvovice 34, Otvovice 273 27
The village of Otvovice can be found in the Kladno district in the Central Bohemia region approx. 5 km southwest of Kralup nad Vltavou and 15 km northeast of Kladno. Currently, approx. 791 inhabitants.

The first written mention of Otvovice dates from 1228. At the end of the 17th century, the opening of coal mines began, and not only miners but also glassmakers moved into the village, and the character of the village began to change to an agricultural-industrial one. Sufficient coal coming to the surface on the slope of the valley led to the opening of a glass factory in 1802 above the grove, on the road to Trnění Újezd – Maria's home. In order not to have to transport the coal up the hill, a smelter was established in 1815 near the mines in the valley and called Dubodol. Glass production in the new smelter developed and still exists today in decline.
