The village of Střítež is located in the picturesque wooded landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou. The village has two parts, Střítež and Nivy. The village of Střítež is located at an altitude of 563 m above sea level. The first written mention of the village dates from 1356.
