The village of Hvožďany is a small village located in the Pilsen Region about thirteen kilometers from the district town of Domažlice and only two kilometers from Poběžovice. The first written mention of the village dates back to 1239. At present, a total of 30 inhabitants live here. The center of the village consists of a spacious round village square with a pond in the middle.
