The village Hněvošice lies in the northern part of the district Opava near the state border with the Republic of Poland - the northern border of the cadastral territory is also the state border. In the south-east the village borders with the village Kobeřice, in the south with the village
Služovice and its parts Vrbka, in the west with the village Oldřišov. The village has a cadastral area of 616 ha and 1026 inhabitants live here.
