Obec Dolni Dubnany


The village of Dolní Dubňany is located in the Znojmo district in the South Moravian Region and lies in the Znojmo-Moravian-Krumlov region in the Rokytná river basin on the south side and the Jihlávka river basin on the north side near the village of Dukovany, known for its nuclear power plant. At present, approx. 483 inhabitants.

The first written mention of Dolní Dubňany dates from 1350 and from 1530 the whole village belonged to the Moravian-Krumlov estate.

- Church of St. Wenceslas - dating from the second half of the 13th century
- Four stone crosses located at the entrance to the church
- Inside the church there is an old Romanesque stone baptistery.

In the village there is a Kindergarten and Elementary School, a volunteer fire brigade and the Roman Catholic parish of Horní Dubňany.
