Obec Lenesice


The village of Lenešice is located in the district of Louny. The first mentions of Lenešice are under King Přemysl Otakar around 1226, when they are listed as property of the monastery in Doksany. According to some historians, the name of the village is derived from the name Leník. In 1324, Lenešice was listed as the property of the Postoloprt Monastery.

The total cadastral area of the village is 1393 ha. A tourist route passes through the village. The current number of inhabitants in the village is approx. 1418.
