Obec Mnichov


The municipality of Munich is located in the district of Cheb in the Karlovy Vary region. Two adjacent villages, Rájov and Sítiny, belong to Munich. At present, approx. 398 inhabitants.

The first written mention of the village dates from 1273. The biggest attractions of Munich include the church of St. Peter and Paul in Munich, the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Sítiny and the Church of St. John and Paul in Rájov. In the vicinity of the village there are now mined snake bearings, from which decorative items were made in Munich.
