The village of Karez is located on the border of the Central Bohemia and Pilsen Regions by the former state road Prague - Pilsen, at an altitude of 442 m. Karez also includes parts of Borek, Pětidomí and Malý Újezd, extending behind the Prague - Pilsen railway station.
The natural beauties of the surroundings of Kařez, forests and ponds, were and are sought after for a pleasant rest, as evidenced by the number of cottages and holiday cottages. Of the total number of 245 descriptive numbers, 163 are permanently inhabited and 51 numbers are used for recreation. In addition to these holiday cottages, there are also 58 cottages.
So if you like nature walks, or if you want to gain new strength and mental well-being, for example through sports, hiking, picking mushrooms and wild berries in our surrounding forests, don't overlook Karez and come visit it.
Our village is located near the D5 Prague - Pilsen highway. Those who prefer public transport can use the train connection from Prague to Pilsen, as the railway station is located right next to us in Karez.
The municipality of Karez is a member of the Voluntary Association of Municipalities of the Zbirožsko microregion.
