Turovice is a small agricultural village. It is located in the beet area 1 km west of Dřevohostice. Structurally, it is almost connected to the wood-hosted suburb of Novosada. The area of the cadastre is 364 ha, altitude 238 m.a.s.l.
A landmark of the village of Turovice is the baroque chapel from 1707 with a statue of St. Starostka, whose cult was introduced to us by the Capuchins. The author of the statue is unknown. Statues of St. Female mayors are a rarity in our country.
