The village of Otín is located in the district of Žďár nad Sázavou in the Vysočina region. It lies 8 km west of Velké Meziříčí and 23 km east of Jihlava. The village also includes the settlement units Geršov and Pohořílky.
Otín covers an area of 554 hectares and is situated at an altitude of 514 m above sea level. The first written mention of the village dates from 1379. At present, our village has 329 permanent residents.
Citizens have at their disposal a municipal office, a culture house, a multipurpose playground, a children's playground, a gym, a grocery store and a grocery store and hospitality.
Historically interesting buildings include the recently renovated bell tower.
There is also a volunteer fire brigade in the village, which was founded in 1949.
