The village of Janůvky is located in the Svitavy district near the town of Moravská Třebová. Janůvky was founded during German colonization. The first written record is from 1365, when they were part of the Třebov estate. In 1408 they received the right to die from the lords of Kunštát. Before the Second World War, a German village. After World War II, the German population was displaced and the village was newly settled.
