The village Bystřany is located in the Ústí nad Labem region 2 km southeast of the town of Teplice. It is located at an altitude of 190 m above sea level and covers an area of 852 ha. The first written mention of Bystřany dates back to the early 16th century. The village also includes Nechvalice, Nové Dvory, Světice and Úpořiny. At present, Bystrany has a population of 1, 902.
