Our company was founded in 1994 as a purely Czech, private company. Since its establishment, IREL® has been a major manufacturing partner of international pharmaceutical companies. The production is primarily focused on the pre-extraction treatment of medicinal drugs, especially milk thistle and ergot. The high-quality pre-extraction treatment of these plants enables a much more efficient final extraction of medicinal substances, which is also associated with their higher quality.
Most of the pre-extraction technologies and procedures have already been registered and the company IREL, spol. s r.o. own their patents, granted under international patent protection law.
We used the pharmaceutical focus of our main production partner and started the production of "pharmacomemetics" (cosmeceuticals). In 2000, we purchased the complete technology of cosmetic production and pharmacometics. In 2003, we purchased all the recipes, production processes and trademarks "Camillca", "Capillan" and "DIA emulsion".
In addition to this already traditional pharmacometics, the company IREL, spol. s r.o. has developed and introduced into production a number of its own cosmetics. Among the most famous is the fine cosmetics Mariol, enriched with extracts of milk thistle. Another cosmetic line is, for example, Irelona, which is intended for everyday skin care, and now also the Irel line, which is intended for the hygiene, regeneration and revitalization of sensitive skin. Last but not least, it is also the Irsha cosmetic line, which is intended for women.
In 2008, the company IREL, spol. s r.o. to produce, in addition to human cosmetics, also veterinary cosmetics focused on the care of animal fur and skin. In addition, the production of feed supplements based on processed milk thistle fruit was also started.
The production of extracts and tinctures of medicinal substances was also started in 2008, when this production was approved by the State Office for Drug Control (SÚKL). In addition to extracts from the category of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), the company also produces extracts and tinctures for use in the cosmetics industry. You can therefore find a number of our own cosmetic extracts in our cosmetic products.
In 2012, the company started the production of natural food supplements and functional foods based on milk thistle and amaranth.
All production equipment, production organization, production operations and procedures, control and contracting obligations of IREL, spol. s r.o. are in full compliance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Agricultural Practice (GMP).
