The first written report about the village dates from 1377, when during the division of the Opava principality, Dobroslavice belonged to the count goods of Jindřich of Bítov and his brothers. Later, the village became an independent farm, which was held by the Falk family from Čochendorf from 1424 to the beginning of the 16th century. They built a fortress here, which we first hear about in 1517. In 1577, Albrecht from Vrbno had the original fortress rebuilt into a Renaissance castle, which included a large farm, mill, pond and grove. Beneath the castle lay a manor yard with a large sheepfold, a brewery and a distillery.
The village of Dobroslavice is located in the northeastern spur of the Nízké Jeseníky west of the Odra River and south of the Opava River. The railway Opava - Ostrava - Poruba passes through the cadastre. The village is located 15 km from the center of Ostrava and 6 km from Ostrava - Poruba. The surroundings of the village are moderately divided. The highest altitude is 340 m above sea level. and is located in a place called Končina. The lowest altitude is at the Rybarna cottage - 220 m above sea level. The current population of the village is 750.
